DON’T CALL US, WE’LL CALL YOU

reproducible text, worksheets, forms, and answer key ...$25.00

The aim of this unit is to give your students the information they need to help them find and keep a job. In plain terms they are informed that the job market (once we’ve told them what the job market is) is not waiting for them, so they better offer something to the job market. We tell them what they need to offer, how to offer it, where they can apply for jobs and how they can look for a job when they have no training. Included are all the forms, applications, and assignments that are related to finding a job.

WHERE DID ALL THE MONEY GO?

reproducible text, worksheets, forms, and answer key ...$25.00

You probably hear this when your administrators want to know what you did with the $75 they gave you for materials in 2004.  Undoubtedly frittered it away; however, now that you have been allocated another $75 perhaps you will fritter it away on these materials.    They take students through the earning of a realistic paycheck, the deductions that will be made from that check, budgeting, banking, and many other areas that have to do with the coming and going of money.  How much they've gleaned from the unit can be determined by having them complete the many assignments, which among other things, will take them through the figuring of earnings, learning about deductions, opening bank accounts, making deposits, writing checks, and reconciling a bank statement.  Clyde is the young man in the text, and Clyde earns a salary that is comparable to what most young people might earn on their first job.  What Clyde does with his money is also within the realm of how any young adult might spend money.  Worksheets include all the blank banking forms you'll need.
