Math
doesn't really need a great deal of description. What can you say about
division? It's not like division and fractions have had an interesting
life like Helen of Troy, the Roman Gladiator, and the word processing
department, or that percents and rulers are a barrel of laughs like the Great
Plains. Math is just math. Our math materials assume that if a
problem consists of anything more than one number printed on a 16x44 glossy,
your students are going to need plenty of practice.

Below are our math materials. All are
sequenced, repetitive, and boring. All are reproducible unless specified and come with
answer keys.

SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR MATH
guide/reference ...$25.00
This student-friendly, classroom tested,
math reference book was written by new author Mary Cholodenko, who used her own
experiences as a classroom teacher to create this math reference suitable for
students of varying skill levels in grades 7-12. Not to
be confused with a textbook or workbook, this is an "extreme notebook" designed
to be used in conjunction with any math textbook. In her Survival Guide
for Math, topics are clearly indicated at the top of each page.
Information has been purposely handwritten to appear less intimidating to
students and a "student-friendly" index gives them the ability to attain help
independently. Each page has been carefully designed to present the materials
in a non-threatening, visually pleasing format that will grab students' interest
and help them comprehend important concepts, develop strategies for approaching
math problems, address common misconceptions, attain memory tricks, and relearn
basic skills and concepts that were not internalized in earlier grades. With a struggling math student in
mind, Ms. Cholodenko has designed a "must-have" reference using graphic
organizers, everyday language, cartoons and examples to further increase
comprehension of the presented material. Order one for each student as the
Survival Guide for Math is not
reproducible. Over 200 pages and chapters include Numbers, Polynomials,
Factoring, Solving Equations, Graphing, Algebraic Fractions, Radicals, Geometry,
Probability, Statistics, and Miscellaneous Topics. NOT REPRODUCIBLE.

MATH REFERENCE FOR MIDDLE GRADES
reproducibles ...$19.00
This new book is a great reference for
anyone needing basic information and examples of the most common topics covered
in middle school math. Units cover decimals; pre-algebra; fractions and
mixed numbers; ratio, proportion, and percents, integers, geometry and
measurement and more. The nine units are divided into several lessons
covering one or two concepts. The first part of each lesson is a
step-by-step guide with examples of how to solve problems. In the last
section students practice and apply what they've learned. Includes
glossary and CD ROM with extra practice problems. Correlated with NCTM
standards.

JUMPSTARTERS FOR MATH WORD PROBLEMS
reproducibles ...$8.00
Practice problem-solving skills covering
measurement, money, perimeter and area, simple interest, probability and more in
this book of word problem warm-ups.
SO THAT'S WHAT AVERAGE,
MEDIAN AND MODE MEANS!
reproducibles ...$10.00
Thirty-plus worksheet pages that
provide practice in calculating averages, finding the median and mode, as well
as determining the range.

LINE, SHAPES AND WHAT NOT!
reproducibles ...$12.00
This pre-geometry unit focuses on
some of the more fundamental principles of beginning geometry such as lines,
line segments, polygons, and angles. Included is practice in calculating the
perimeter and area, measuring angles, and working with circles.

want on teaching and practicing multiplication. Answer key.
DARN OLD DIVISION
reproducibles ...$10.00
Begins with one digit into one
digit and culminates in the incredible feat of dividing two digit numbers into
three digit numbers. Includes a method for "guesstimating" quotients.
Answer key.
ROUND OFF!
reproducibles ...$8.00
Basics of rounding numbers and
money to the nearest 10, 100, and 1000. Word problems and answer key included.

answer key.
GETTING FROM THIS TO THAT
reproducibles ...$8.00
Though you've even come to believe there are
9,000 seconds in the last 3 minutes of the school day, there are not. To
help bring you back to reality, and to help teach your students how to convert
time, money, and liquid and solid measurements from one form of time,
denomination, or measurement to to another, we have this unit.
Word problems included.
MUDDLING THROUGH
MEASUREMENT
reproducibles ...$7.00
Teaches the basics about inches,
feet and yards. Provides practice in estimating lengths.

These reproducibles contain the procedures
involved in doing word problems. The steps are introduced gradually and
painlessly, along with the key words that will tell your students what they are
to do to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division word
problems. Lots of practice so that by the end of Unit 2, your students will be
doing several math processes. Answer key.

GRASPING GRAPHS
reproducibles ...$7.00
Learning how to read and make
graphs. Answer key.

reproducibles ...$10.00
Step by step through solving problems
involving ratios and proportions.
(kib) • ALGEBRA
reproducibles ...$14.00
Our pre-algebra unit introduces
some of the concepts of algebra to those who may be struggling with these
concepts. Worksheets cover negative and positive integers, adding and
subtracting integers, the properties of addition and multiplication, order of
operations, the solving of simple equations, and more. As with all our math
materials, information is sequenced and repetitive.

Teachers can use the books in this series as a full unit of study or an a
supplement to their regular math curriculum, but the series was designed with
the struggling math student in mind. Included as step-by-step instructions
with examples, practice problems, real-life applications, a list of symbols and
terms, tips, and answer key. The Pre-Algebra unit starts with a chapter on
Basic Concepts in Numbers, followed by Operations of Numbers and Variables,
Working with Integers and Signed Numbers.
REAL LIFE MATH •
BANKING
reproducibles
...$11.00
This unit in our Real Life Math
Series deals with math in the banking world. This includes calculating simple
and compound interest as well as calculating these interest amounts annually,
semi-annually, and quarterly. Terms used in banking are explained and students
get an introduction to checking accounts and reconciling bank statements.
Students should have knowledge of working with percents and decimals. Unit would
be great to reinforce calculator skills as most operations involve working with
percents and decimals.
