This unit in our Real Life Math Series deals with math in the banking world. This includes calculating simple and compound interest as well as calculating these interest amounts annually, semi-annually, and quarterly. Terms used in banking are explained and students get an introduction to checking accounts and reconciling bank statements. Students should have knowledge of working with percents and decimals. Unit would be great to reinforce calculator skills as most operations involve working with percents and decimals.
