WADING INTO
WRITING
reproducibles
...$35.00
The
thrust behind Wading Into Writing, is to create models for students to
follow. The materials do not assume that the students know any part of
speech or that they already recognized what a sentence is. Bit by bit they
are led to the point of creating their own sentences, but always with a model to
follow. As they "wade through writing" they should ultimately reach the
point where they can write three paragraphs that will at least remind you of
what paragraphs are supposed to look like. There are a total of 189
worksheets that you may or may not used depending on your time, patience, and
tolerance. Sections also cover the writing of short answers to tests, the
writing of letters and the writing of book reports.
WADING INTO
WRITING WORD LIST
flip guide
...$9.00
This
Kids In Between product has several hundred words and phrases that have been
classified into parts of speech. When any writing assignment calls for
using a prepositional phrase, student can flip this handy little flip chart to
prepositional phrases. They can also flip to nouns, verbs, adverbs,
and other parts of speech to aid them into putting together a complete sentence.
These parts of speech appear side by side in columns thus allowing the learner
to see that how a word is used determines what part of speech the word is.
The flipchart also includes conjunctions, prepositions, commonly used phrases,
and typical words that begin dependent clauses. The flipchart is not only
a big help in completing the assignments in Wading Into Writing Reproducibles,
but is also a real learning tool for getting the parts of speech straight.
